 Proprietors Jody Lorimor and
Sara Sparks are long time cat lovers. As co-founders of the local non-profit cat rescue group, Streetcats,
Inc., Jody and Sara have had a great deal of experience caring for many different kitties with very different
purrrsonalities. In addition, as president and treasurer, each had specific training in coordinating the
daily operations and finances of the group.
After several years rescuing, adopting, and spaying and
neutering Tulsa's homeless cats, Jody and Sara decided to retire and pursue another dream. Seeing
the need in the Midtown area of Tulsa for a cats-only boarding facility, the idea of The Catnip
Cottage came into being. After a long search, the little house on Gary Avenue was discovered.
In poor repair, Jody and Sara knew it would take a lot of hard work and tender loving care to
become The Catnip Cottage, but were prepared and could envision the final product. Months
of renovation, remodeling, and landscaping have come to fruition, and The Catnip Cottage
is ready to be your cat's home away from home.
